Peddlers Shanghai Gin Celebrates the Spirit of the Tiger in Aotearoa

Shanghai-based Peddlers Gin is celebrating Chinese New Year in 2022 – the Year of the Tiger – with a series of pop-up menus at popular restaurants in Tāmaki Makaurau and Te Whanganui-a-Tara.

The limited-time menus have been designed to encourage Kiwis to join the celebration. The festivities will begin in Wellington on February 1st, with a 4-course menu matched with four Peddlers cocktails at the renowned Egmont St Eatery. The event will consist of two seatings at 5:30pm and 7:30pm, with bookings essential and tickets $108 per head.
Also in the capital, Mr Go’s will feature a limited-time Peddlers Plum Highball on their menu of moreish Modern Asian cuisine, available for the entire month of February.

In Auckland, foodies can enjoy a special menu with Peddlers cocktails at popular Britomart eatery Ghost Street from February 2nd – 13th. Diners have the chance of winning various prizes including bottles of Peddlers Gin and Ghost Street dining vouchers.

For those looking to bring a piece of the celebration home, Peddlers will also be selling special limited
edition gift boxes with a custom enamel Spirit of the Tiger cocktail mug.

Company, online from Whisky and More and Easy Tiger, and also in-store from Moore Wilson’s and Point
Wines.

As part of its global Chinese New Year campaign, Peddlers will also be releasing exclusive interviews with people across the generations in China who were born in a Year of the Tiger. From an 86 year old hunter-turned conservationist to a 24 year old surfer, a rice farmer, a hip hop star and everything in between. Each story paints a picture of Chinese culture, celebrating the human spirit in a country undergoing unprecedented change.
