A decade in the fizz business

Well done also to the good guys at ethical beverage company Karma Drinks who’re celebrating 10 years in the fizz business this week.

We’re in business to make the world a better place, senior brand manager Bri Tither, posted online. “We do this by making drinks people love because they’re refreshing, they respect humanity, and restore the natural world.

Tither says the work achieved by Karma’s Foundation within their cola nut grower communities in Sierra Leone inspires her to keep going.

Here the top 10:

1. So far we’ve built 7 bridges
2. Worked our way up to now provide 135 bursaries for girls to study every year
3. Built 4 schools in total, educating over 700 students
4. Funded and trained 8 teachers to educate more children
5. Constructed 4 community barris
6. Built 1 community guesthouse
7. Built 3 rice mills
8. Built 3 seed banks
9. Funded and trained 70 entrepreneurs in business across all 8 Tiwai communities
10. Rehabilitated cola and cocoa farms
