As the Level 4 lockdown closes the doors on restaurants again, The New Zealand Food Network (NZFN) is welcoming donations of any bulk food surplus so it can be redistributed to support Aotearoa’s most vulnerable communities.
New Zealand Food Network is a not-for-profit organisation, founded to provide people in need with healthy food, through sharing bulk surplus and donated food. The network collects quality surplus and donated bulk food from producers, growers and wholesalers around the country, and distributes it to food rescue organisations, iwi and charities across New Zealand, so that they may feed the communities they serve.
Any businesses, food producers and wholesalers who have surplus food or ingredients that are at risk of going to waste can donate to NZFN to help them meet unprecedented levels of demand during lockdown.
